Ontario Reports 4,249 New Cases of Virus Province Wide
Thunder Bay – COVID-19 Update – Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting five new COVID-19 cases in residents in the region.
The total number of current active cases is 49.
There have been ten cases resolved.
One of the new cases is at the Southbridge Roseview Long-Term Care home. The facility reports 4 active resident cases and 6 active staff cases.
Of the cases in the region, one is from close contact, one from travel outside of Northwestern Ontario, two are still pending.
Health Minister Elliott reports there are 4,249 new cases of COVID-19 in the province.
There are 1,382 new cases in Toronto, 691 in Peel, 427 in York Region, 213 in Niagara and 184 in Windsor-Essex County.
Premier Ford this morning at his press briefing says “Everything is on the table. This is the most serious situation we’ve ever been in since the beginning of the pandemic… please, please, please stay home.”
The Premier says, “This is getting out of control. When the modelling numbers come out next week it’s going to be a real wake up call”
