Thunder Bay – WEATHER – For the last day of 2020, there are no weather alerts or warnings in effect this morning for the region.

At midnight, Fort William First Nation is planning a fireworks display, look to the south.

Thunder Bay Weather Outlook

It is -12 in Thunder Bay this morning under clear. We will see a a mix of sun and cloud later this morning. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. The daytime high will be -5. The wind chill -21 this morning and -9 this afternoon.

Tonight, to wrap up 2020 there will be mainly cloudy skies. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. The overnight low -11 with wind chill near -14.

Washaho Cree Nation

Our cold spot this morning is under partly cloudy skies. The weather service is calling for increasing cloudiness early this morning. There will be a 60 percent chance of flurries this afternoon. Winds up to 15 km/h. -16 will be the daytime high with wind chill making it feel more like -36 this morning and -23 this afternoon. There is a risk of frostbite.
Tonight will see cloudy skies with a 60 percent chance of flurries early this evening. Winds becoming west 30 km/h after midnight. The overnight low -22, the wind chill-22 this evening and -33 overnight. Again a risk of frostbite.

Fort Frances Weather Outlook

It is -13 this morning in Fort Frances. Today will see mainly cloudy skies with a 40 percent chance of flurries early this morning. Later this morning those clouds will move out to the area. Winds becoming south 20 km/h near noon. High 06. Wind chill -20 this morning and -10 this afternoon.

Tonight, to wrap up 2020 there will be increasing cloudiness early this evening. There is a 60 percent chance of light snow overnight. Wind up to 15 km/h. Low -10. Wind chill near -14.
