Fort Frances Man Faces Impaired Driving Charges

Fort Frances – NEWS – Shortly before 3:00 pm on December 20, 2020 members of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called upon to investigate a complaint of an aggressive driver. Officers were able to locate the vehicle in question and stopped the vehicle to conduct an investigation.

As a result of the investigation, James OTTOSON (48) of Fort Frances has been charged criminally with:

  • Operate Conveyance while ability impaired – alcohol;

OTTOSON will appear in Fort Frances Provincial Court on January 18, 2021 at 9:30 am to answer to this charge.

None of the charges have been proven in a court of law.

The OPP is committed to safety for all who utilize Ontario’s roadways. Members of the public are urged to report Impaired Driving by calling 911 in emergency situations. Complaints of impaired, aggressive or careless driving can also be made by calling      1-888-310-1122.
