EMO – Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) is advising people who shopped at Cloverleaf Grocery Store in Emo on Dec 18, 19 and 20th that there is a very small chance that they were exposed to COVID-19.
NWHU and Cloverleaf Grocery Store are working together closely to ensure all precautions are being taken to minimize the impact of COVID-19 in the community.
Dr. Kit Young Hoon, Medical Officer of Health at NWHU says, “the risk is very remote based on the information we have from a recent case in the Rainy River District, but out of an abundance of caution we are sharing this information with the public. Anyone who was at the grocery store on Dec 18 19 or 20th should self-monitor for symptoms. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, self-isolate immediately and arrange to get tested at your local assessment centre.”
“Everyone should follow the guidelines of the province-wide shutdown,” says Young Hoon. “Stay home except for essential trips out, do not gather with people from outside your household, when you do leave your home stay at least 2 metres from others, and wear a mask when you cannot do so and in all enclosed public spaces.
