COVID-19 Update – Great Britain Reports 41,385 Cases of Virus and 357 Deaths

Healthcare System at Risk of Being Overwhelmed

LONDON – On Monday, a record 41,385 Covid cases and 357 deaths were reported in Great Britain. The country remains under a severe lockdown.

Over the past seven days, 3497 people have died in Great Britain.

National Health Services in England says the number of people being treated forCOVID-19 who are in the hospital is now 20,426.

This is a case total that is larger than the previous peak total from last April when 19,000 people were hospitalized.

The healthcare system is at risk of being overwhelmed.

Officials in Scotland and Wales are also stating that their healthcare systems are at risk of becoming overwhelmed.

Across the United Kingdom all non-essential surgeries have been postponed.
