BRAMPTON – POLITICS – Ontario Premier Doug Ford will be joined by Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, Solicitor General Sylvia Jones and General Rick Hillier (retired), Chair of the COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Task Force, to make an announcement.

Update: Premier Ford was unable to attend. The Premier Ford had to cancel his appearance for the 1pm daily press briefing. The Premier’s office says it’s due to an “unexpected, but non-COVID-related, non-urgent, medical appointment”.

Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott, Ontario’s solicitor general Sylvia Jones, and retired general Rick Hillier, chair of the province’s new COVID-19 vaccine distribution task force make an announcement and provide an update on the Ontario government’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford has asked for more clarity on the federal government’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout, including the date vaccines are expected to arrive in Ontario.
