Thunder Bay – WEATHER – If you are driving, take care. Snow overnight will have roadways and sidewalks slippery. The cold spot in Ontario this morning is -17.7 °C or 0.1 °F in Big Trout Lake. The Coldest Place on Earth this morning is Dome A in Antarctica at a frigid -46.2°C. Or if really hot is your preference, the hottest place on the planet is in Australia at the Onslow Airport where it is a scorching 44°C.

Thunder Bay

Cloudy with 60 percent chance of flurries this morning then a mix of sun and cloud. Wind northwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming light early this morning. High minus 6. Wind chill minus 15°C this morning and minus 10°C this afternoon.

The mass majority of people from Neskantaga First Nation have been evacuated to Thunder Bay as water issues in the community continue. For the protectors in the community and for the interest of the evacuees, back in their community it is -`5 under mainly cloudy skies with 30 percent chance of flurries this morning. Skies will clear this afternoon. Winds will blow at up to 15 km/h. The temperature will be steady near minus 13. Wind chill minus 16 this morning and minus 23 this afternoon.

For tonight skies will be clear. Winds up to 15 km/h. Low minus 22. Wind chill minus 23 this evening and minus 30 overnight. There is a risk of frostbite.

Kenora
