Prime Minister Trudeau Outlines New Climate Plan in Bill C-12

OTTAWA – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaks with reporters in Ottawa after making an announcement about Canada’s plan to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

The federal government has introduced legislation (C-12) that lays out its plan for meeting the country’s emissions targets.

The prime minister is joined by ministers Jonathan Wilkinson (environment and climate change), Steven Guilbeault (Canadian Heritage), and Catherine McKenna (infrastructure and communities).
