THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Warmer temperatures are in the forecast for the southern regions. So if you have some of those fall tasks you have not completed yet, gathering leaves and cleaning up the yard, this is the time. Further north, more seasonal temperatures, and snow are in the forecast.

Thunder Bay

For Thunder Bay, expect clearing skies this morning. at 07:00 am EST it is +3c, today’s high +11. This will assist the fire-keepers at the Sacred Fire for Barbara Kentner being held at Everest Funeral Home on Waverly Street as the vigil will continue until Friday.

Clear skies will continue tonight, however, fog patches are forecast for overnight. Winds up to 15 km/h. The low minus 5. Wind chill minus 7 overnight.

Heading into Wednesday mainly sunny skies are in the forecast. Fog patches will burn off in the morning. Winds up to 15 km/h are in the forecast. Wednesday’s high +13. Wind chill minus 7 in the morning.

For Neskantaga, it is Day 9407 of the Boil Water Advisory. Environment Canada says that periods of snow ending early this afternoon then cloudy. There is a risk of freezing drizzle this afternoon. Snowfall amounts of 2 to 4 cm are expected. Winds will become southeast 20 km/h near noon. Today’s high minus 3. The wind chill will be minus 14 this morning and minus 9 this afternoon. For tonight, there is a risk of freezing drizzle. Wind southeast 20 km/h becoming light early this evening. Temperature steady near minus 4. Wind chill near minus 9.

Washaho Cree Nation

For Ontario’s furthest north settlement, Environment Canada says to expect mainly cloudy skies with winds of up to 15 km/h. At 07:00 AM EST, it is -10c, today high -5c. The wind chill minus 17 this morning and minus 7 this afternoon. UV index 1 or low. Cloudy skies with the wind becoming southeast 20 km/h late this evening. Low -10. Wind chill near -18.

Kenora and Lake of the Woods
