THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – It is a day for raincoats and umbrellas in the city under the shadow of the Sleeping Giant. There are no weather alerts in effect today for the region.

The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind the public to slow down and take your time with road conditions deteriorating

Kenora OPP has seen a dramatic increase in Motor Vehicle Collisions. With snow arriving, police would like to ask people to take their time, plan ahead, and drive carefully in order to get to your destination safely.

Environment Canada says in Thunder Bay we can expect periods of rain or snow ending near noon then mainly cloudy skies. Winds will become west 20 km/h near noon. Today’s high is forecast at +6. Partly cloudy skies are expected for tonight with winds blowing west 20 km/h becoming light early this evening. The overnight low minus 1.
