THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay is changing how meetings are held. In a media statement issued the COTB says, “On Friday, Sept. 25, the Provincial Government further updated Ontario Regulation 364/20 as it pertains to gathering limits.
“The previously announced reduced gathering limits (no more than 10 persons) have been amended to apply only to places that are defined as private dwellings and residential buildings.
“This means that City Council meetings will no longer be limited to only 10 people. This change also affects ward/town hall meetings and allows up to 50 people to attend where capacity to allow for physical distancing is possible.”
The next two ward meetings planned will continue to be held virtually. They include:
- Northwood Ward – Wednesday, Sept. 30 (7 – 8:30 pm)
- McKellar Ward – Wednesday, Oct. 7 (7 – 8:30 pm)
Virtual ward meetings will be aired on Shaw TV Cable 10, Tbaytel TV Channel 110 and streamed online at: thunderbay.ca/watchcouncil
