OTTAWA, ON – On Sunday, Rebecca O’Toole began exhibiting symptoms including a fever. She went to the assessment centre at Brewer Park Arena in Ottawa that evening and was tested. Late Monday night, her results came back positive for COVID-19. She is isolating at home. The O’Toole’s will continue monitoring their children, Mollie (14) and Jack (9), for symptoms.
“Many Canadian families are grappling with COVID-19 like us today,” says Rebecca O’Toole, “and just like them, our focus is on ensuring our children stay healthy. I want to thank the incredible frontline healthcare workers across the country, but especially those at Brewer Park Arena who are so kind and patient while working tirelessly to help thousands of Canadians.
September is also Arthritis Awareness month. Arthritis affects 1 in 5 adult Canadians, including me. People with autoimmune diseases like inflammatory arthritis need to take extra precautions as we enter the second wave of COVID-19. Talk to your doctor and stay safe and healthy.”
