Four Toronto Men Face Drug Charges Along with Two from Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police have arrested six people, including four Toronto men, after locating and seizing three loaded handguns and drugs during a search of a south-side apartment Wednesday.

The Thunder Bay Police Service’s Emergency Task Unit and Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 1000-block of Victoria Avenue just before 3 pm EDT on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

The search was part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activity at that address.

Inside the apartment police located and arrested six suspects.

Police later located and seized three handguns, a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, a quantity of suspected cocaine, and a quantity of suspected heroin, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, and about $29,000 CAD in cash.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized totals $16,000.

The accused were transported to the TBPS headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street without further incident.

Abdul-Kadir Ali Isse ALI, 20, of Toronto, is charged with:

• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Without a Licence x 3
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 3

Abdullahi Mohamed ALI, 21, of Toronto, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Careless Storage of a Firearm x3
• Possession of a Firearm Knowledge its Possession is Unauthorized x 3
• Prohibited or Restricted Firearm: With Ammunition x 3
• Tamper With Serial Number of Firearm x 3
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Without a Licence x 3
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 3
• Failure to Comply With a Judicial Release

Andrew Christopher BECOTTE, 28, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Careless Storage of a Firearm x3
• Possession of a Firearm Knowledge its Possession is Unauthorized x 3
• Prohibited or Restricted Firearm: With Ammunition x 3
• Tamper With Serial Number of Firearm x 3
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Without a Licence x 3
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 3
• Possession of Firearm/ Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

Said Saeed MOHAMED, 19, of Toronto, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Careless Storage of a Firearm x3
• Possession of a Firearm Knowledge its Possession is Unauthorized x 3
• Prohibited or Restricted Firearm: With Ammunition x 3
• Tamper With Serial Number of Firearm x 3
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Without a Licence x 3
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 3

Mariah Ann Crystal SAKANEE, 28, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Careless Storage of a Firearm x3
• Possession of a Firearm Knowledge its Possession is Unauthorized x 3
• Prohibited or Restricted Firearm: With Ammunition x 3
• Tamper With Serial Number of Firearm x 3
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Without a Licence x 3
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 3

Mohanned Bedawi TAGO, 30, of Toronto, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Careless Storage of a Firearm x3
• Possession of a Firearm Knowledge its Possession is Unauthorized x 3
• Prohibited or Restricted Firearm: With Ammunition x 3
• Tamper With Serial Number of Firearm x 3
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Without a Licence x 3
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 3

All six appeared in bail court on Thursday, September 3, 2020 and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates. None of the charges have been proven in court.
