THUNDER BAY – At approximately 1830hrs (06:30 pm) on August 15, 2020, Thunder Bay Fire & Rescue (TBFR) responded to a fire within the District Jail.
Staff on site had the fire extinguished before Thunder Bay Fire Rescue arrived on the scene.
Light smoke was still present, Fire Fighters assisted Staff with clearing Smoke from the building.
A total of three Pumpers responded and cleared the scene by 19:30.
The cause of the fire is undetermined.
