THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service request public help in identifying the suspect of a recent break and enter to a business.

Officers with the TBPS’s uniform patrol branch were originally dispatched to the Blackfoot Minnows & Bait store in the 200 block of Cumberland Street North at about 5:30 am EDT on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, following reports of a break and enter that had occurred the previous evening.

Police learned a male entered a shed on the business’s property. Once inside the male located an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the area.

Members of the TBPS’s Break and Enter And Robbery (BEAR) Unit are now investigating. As a result of the ongoing investigation, police obtained video surveillance footage showing the suspect at the time of the break and enter.

While the video is not clear, police are releasing selected clips to the public in the hopes that someone may be able to identify the male.

No other descriptors of the suspect are available at this time.

If you have any information about this break and enter, or can help investigators identify this suspect, please call police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, online at www.p3tips.com.
