Fort Frances – Police Investigating Robbery at Motel

FORT FRANCES – The Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break, enter and theft at a local Fort Frances motel on July 23, 2020.

The owner of the business contacted police after returning to his business and discovered the door to his office had been forced open and cash taken. The amount of cash was significant however, the exact amount is evidentiary in nature and part of the investigation, and is not being released to the public.

This investigation is ongoing. Members of the Fort Frances Crime Unit and the Fort Frances Canine Unit are supporting the investigation.
