THUNDER BAY – BUSINESS – Intercity bus service is getting rolling at full tilt on Monday.

Kasper Transportation, which suspended operations over COVID-19 issues, including greatly reduced travel numbers will resume operations on Monday, July 20, 2020.

Kasper Wabinski, CEO of the company says, “Our routes will resume in the following regions: Owen Sound to Guelph, Northern Ontario, and into Winnipeg.”

“We have done our best to maintain a smooth and efficient customer experience in the recovery phase of COVID-19,” continues Kasper. “We understand that COVID-19 had a serious impact on the health and safety of everyone and impeded the daily activities and needs of our customers”.

“We are happy again to step forward and provide bus services that are essential and practical ways of travel for the people and businesses, adds Kasper. “We are again looking forward to providing the scheduled bus services to meet the needs of our customers and continuing our business relationships with everyone.”

Getting going won’t be a return to pre-COVID-19 travel. “We ask and require our customers to do their part, and stay at home if you feel sick, to help us protect you, other passengers, and help our province fight COVID-19 while allowing you to conduct essential, required travel,” states the company CEO.

“During our ongoing preparations, we are taking the necessary steps working with the resources we have available and developing additional policies and procedures that will be effective for the safety of our customers and staff. We have been and will continue to work laterally with all levels of governments as they cautiously move towards opening more resources and businesses in our communities. We will be requiring face masks, reduced capacity, we will conduct temperature checks, and continue our practice of complete and detailed vehicle cleaning”.

Expanding Routes and Adding Stops

During the break, Kasper Transportation was able to work to make improvements to the company’s service. “Some of our prices have changed, and some routes have new stops added,” shares Kasper. “Please contact us or visit our website for more details. As we enter stage 3 of the re-opening by the province, we will continue to monitor its status for the safety of everyone. We have invested and will continue to invest the funds and resources to work laterally with all levels of government and communities to meet the safety requirements recommended for us to follow.”

“We are looking forward to connecting our customers to their destinations from Owen Sound to Guelph Ontario and all connections in between. Health and safety, and security is a priority for the customers and business. Please be safe and we are looking forward to seeing you again,” concludes Kasper.
