KENORA – WEATHER – Much of Western Ontario is under a Heat Warning issued this afternoon by Environment Canada. The Far North and the City of Thunder Bay are not under the warnings, but the rest of the region is expecting temperatures reaching 29 degrees Celsius combined with overnight lows near 18 degrees Celsius are forecast for the next two days.
Temperatures reaching 29 to 30 degrees Celsius with the humidex in the mid to high thirties combined with overnight lows near 18 degrees Celsius are expected for tomorrow and Wednesday.
Heat Warning in effect for:
- Kenora – Grassy Narrows – Whitedog
- Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls – Morson
- Dryden – Vermilion Bay
- Fort Frances – Atikokan
- Sioux Lookout – Pickle Lake – Mishkeegogaming
- Ear Falls – Red Lake – Pikangikum
- Fort Hope – Lansdowne House – Ogoki
The weather service says a cooler air mass will arrive on Thursday.
