THUNDER BAY – Martin Wyatt and the team at Thunder Bay Ventures are asking local businesses to complete an online survey on their Personal Protective Equipment needs.
As our Thunder Bay area business community begins to open its doors, Thunder Bay Ventures is interested in determining the PPE needs that smaller businesses are anticipating.
“If we have a clearer understanding of the specific items that smaller businesses require, then we will be better able to determine how we might help them”, said Executive Director Martin Wyant. “We are looking at purchasing and distributing PPE for smaller businesses who might otherwise be challenged to find or pay for all of the products they need, especially for the first few weeks of their reopening”.
Once the information has been gathered, Thunder Bay Ventures will identify the estimated costs associated with supplying the necessary PPE and determine how best to purchase and distribute the products to local small businesses. The initial focus will be on smaller businesses, with less than 20 employees.
“We won’t be able to meet everyone’s needs, but we do want to help where we can”, said Wyant. “We have identified a number of local suppliers who have PPE products. Once we have a clearer idea of the needs of our small business community, we are confident that we will be ready to proceed quickly”.
Small businesses are asked to complete the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3GWX5BQ. The survey is also available on the Thunder Bay Ventures website (www.thunderbayventures.com) or our Facebook page and complete surveys as quickly as possible.
