THUNDER BAY – As Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario start to open up the Economy, Minister of Health and Thunder Bay Superior-North MP Patty Hajdu shares an update with the riding and the region.

We talk about how COVID-19 has hit local businesses hard, and how some businesses, Bay Village Coffee, Heartbeat Hotsauce, and Sleeping Giant Brewery as just a few examples, have taken the path to innovation to adapt to the changing conditions. There are many companies across the region that are doing things in new and innovative ways right now.

The Minister shares how the Digital Main Street program can help Northern Ontario businesses in adapting to the increasingly digital world. The Minister asks that we all keep up the excellent work we have collectively been doing in social distancing and keeping the number of positive cases of COVID-19 low in our region.

The Minister talks about opening up the Canada United States border, and other international borders. There is not a great push to get the US Canada Border open … yet.
