Thunder Bay – New Confirmed Case of COVID-19

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit has confirmed one new case of COVID-19 in the region.

The case, the 82nd in the region is a male in his 70’s who was exposed by close contact and currently is in hospital.

As of Sunday, May 31, 2020, there has been 9,807 tests completed in Thunder Bay. There have been 82 positive results for COVID-19.

The testing rate in the Thunder Bay District is 6540.0 per 100,000 population. This is higher than the Ontario average of 4,783.9 per 100,000 population.

There are currently two people hospitalized for COVID-19.
