THUNDER BAY – Two people from the Greater Toronto Area are in custody after a weekend assault of a woman in Thunder Bay.
Thunder Bay Police say a woman suffered minor injuries when a piece of asphalt was thrown through the window of her residence in the city’s south side.
TBPS Uniform Patrol officers responded to the area at 1:30 am this morning and stopped a vehicle with two male suspects inside at McGregor Avenue and Waterloo Street. The two men were arrested and a subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a sum of cash and a substance suspected to be Fentanyl.
34-year-old Jermaine HYLTON of North York and 30-year-old Sejean Travis REID of Scarborough are both charged with:
- Assault With a Weapon
- Mischief under $5,000
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl) For The Purpose of Trafficking
- Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
Jermaine HYLTON is also charged with Obstructing a Police Officer and Failure to Comply with a Release Order.
Sejean Travis REID is also charged with Breach of Probation.
The victim and accused males were known to each other. The two accused have been remanded into custody for a future court date.
