THUNDER BAY – Gasoline prices in Thunder Bay are jumping up again. Last Saturday in response to a question from NetNewsLedger.com Premier Ford stated that the Ontario government is looking into the high gas prices in Northern Ontario.
Heading into the weekend, gas is going back up in price.
The Premier asked, “Are the gas company’s just trying to gouge us”?
“We are already all over this, and there is no one better than Minister Greg Rickford on this”, added the Premier.
Gas prices fell by about five cents a litre last Sunday, to $.919 per litre. Now the price of a litre of gasoline is climbing up again. The price of gas across the city ranges as low as $0.829 on Fort William First Nation, and as high as $.999 at some stations in the city.
Over time, the price of gasoline in Thunder Bay, and across Northwestern Ontario, has been historically higher than in the rest of Ontario.
