QUEBEC – BUSINESS – Quebec Premier François Legault announced on Monday, March 23, 2020, that Quebec would be put in partial lockdown, and all stores would be closed as of midnight Tuesday until April 13, 2020.

The Quebec government issued a list of what can stay open as essential services:

Funeral homes and cemeteries

Hotels

Dry cleaners and laundromats

Restaurant takeout counter service

Dentists and optometrists (emergency services).

Veterinary services

Animal shelters

Medical and orthopedic supply stores

Movers

Ports and airports

Héma-Québec and Transplant-Québec

Red Cross

Police and fire services

Correctional officers

Coroners

Food distribution networks

Food inspection services

Transport and storage services

Postal services and couriers

Construction services including infrastructures deemed essential
