ThUNDER BAY – On March 19, 2020, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a possible structural fire on the corner of High St. and Red River Road.

The First arriving pumper encountered smoke throughout the building and a 2nd alarm was called for. This resulted in a total of five Pumpers and a ladder truck responding as well as the emergency first-responders from Superior EMS and Thunder Bay Police.

After some investigating the problem was found to be electrical in nature, not structural. The problem area was isolated by TBFR personnel. The building was turned back over to the owner once the smoke had been cleared from the building.

TBFR reminds you that working smoke detectors save lives.
