THUNDER BAY – Happy Family Day. For fun, today, bundle up and head down to Marina Park for an afternoon of fun. You can also head down to the Canada Games Complex to wear down the daily dose of energy your youngsters have. The special family day hours are from 12-5.
SnowDay on the Waterfront presented by Ontario Power Generation is Family Day – Monday, February 17 from 12pm – 5pm at Prince Arthur’s Landing – Marina Park. The event features many activities including the much-anticipated Snow Sculptures. This year’s theme for the sculptures is the City of Thunder Bay’s 50th Anniversary and Sports through the Ages.

Most stores are closed today. Walmart, Metro, Safeway, Intercity Mall, and Renco Foods are closed for the holiday. Selected Shoppers Drug Mart locations are open. For groceries, Skaf’s in Current River is open as always. As well, George’s Market on River Street is open today from 9-9.
The Hub on Victoria Avenue is closed today.
For those needing their ‘Double-Double,’ the Tim Hortons is open.
Swiss Chalet on Fort William Road is open for dine-in or delivery.
Most fast food places are open. For finer dining, call ahead to your favourite place to make sure they are open.
Ontario Government Offices are closed today. However, Canada Post is delivering today. It is not a federal holiday.
