THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Information Technology services at Confederation College are coming back online, and fast.

This morning the College states:

We are pleased to confirm that we have successfully restored several of our core IT services including internet/wifi, Blackboard, Banner, shared storage drives (e.g. J and P drives), our internal MyCampus portal, our external website, printing capabilities and Office365. A reminder that students and employees will need to set a new password when first logging into your College account (you will be prompted to do so) and to access wifi on campus.

Note that we have taken precautions, including the installation of additional protective software, to detect any suspicious activity as we restore IT services. To help us in the recovery process, please notify the HelpDesk if you notice that your desktops/laptops are working MUCH slower than usual (call (807) 475-6488).

We continue to work on restoration of remaining IT services. Now that our portal and website are accessible, we will return to using those tools as our primary methods of communication. The latest updates regarding this malware situation can be found at www.confederationcollege.ca/restore.
