Winnipeg Police Investigating Second Homicide of 2020

WINNIPEG – NEWS – Crime appears off to a fast start in 2020 in the City of Winnipeg. The second homicide of the year has now been reported. A fatal shooting has led to the death of one man, and two others are in critical condition.

Winnipeg Police state that, on January 12, 2020, at approximately 2:53 am, the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of shots that had been fired in the 100 block of Garry Street at the Windsor Hotel.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel located three injured males. All three were taken to the hospital in critical condition. One male has since succumbed to his injuries.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
