WASHINGTON – President Trump will address the world from the White House at 11 AM EST (GMT-5) on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. The President will be joined by Vice President Mike Pence.
The President will address the growing tensions between Iran and the United States following rocket attacks at two bases in Iraq.
The United States Department of Defense says that there were no US casualties resulting from the attacks. Additionally, the DOD says that there was no major damage.
There is the belief that Iran deliberately aimed its rockets to not cause US casualties.
The Iraqi government is also stating there were no casualties from their forces at the base.
President Trump has remained quiet on his Twitter account except for one post. “All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq. Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning.”
