THUNDER BAY – As part of the Thunder Bay Police Facility Review, a public open house will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 4 – 7 pm, in the City Hall Lobby, 500 Donald St. East.
Information will be presented through opening remarks and visual displays, and citizens will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide their input.
Opening remarks will be shared at 4 pm and again repeated at 6 pm, and informational displays and opportunities for questions and comments will be available for the duration of the open house.
The police services facility on Balmoral Street is reaching the point in its service life where many systems and building elements require significant upgrades or replacement. The City has hired FormStudio Architects to conduct a needs assessment of the building to review possible options for upgrading, renovation/addition, or replacement. The results of this study will be presented to City Council and the Thunder Bay Police Services Board for consideration in the spring of 2020.
In addition to the open house session, an online survey will also run from December 12, 2019 – January 2, 2020, where citizens can learn more and have their say. Visit www.thunderbay.ca/GetInvolved.
