Fort William Business District Fires the Vibe for Christmas

THUNDER BAY – Downtown Fort William is working hard to build on the ‘South-Side Vibe’ and business across the business district are working to re-vitalize the neighbourhood.

At The Hub at 507 Victoria Avenue East the Saturday Markets are in full swing. There is a food drive on to raise support for the Underground Gym. While the Underground Gym has announced it will close at its current Simpson Street location, the work with youth and families will continue. It might not be well known but working with Peter Panneta many of the families are also assisted with food.

Community Spokes inside The Hub is working toward making Winter Biking the new cross-country skiing with commuter opportunities and recreation as well.

The business incubator is noticing that there is a whole new feeling in downtown Fort William and it is showing up with new businesses opening.

Switzer Floral Designs has opened bringing a new flower shop to the downtown.

Wild Thyme is getting set to open, bringing a new food option to the downtown as well.
