Simpson Street Fire Engulfs Hell’s Angel’s Clubhouse

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was called out for a major fire in the 600 block of Simpson Street late on Tuesday night. The fire has engulfed the Hell’s Angels Clubhouse located next to the Underground Gym.

Pumper Units and an Aerial Unit are on scene working to put out the blaze.

Update as of 08:00 from Thunder Bay Fire Rescue

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue on November 19, 2019, at 22:24 received multiple calls for the report of a Structural Fire in the area of the 600 Block of Simpson Street. While on route a second alarm was requested due to the large column of smoke issuing from the reported area of the fire.

Upon the arrival of the initial responding units observed heavy smoke and flames issuing from above the second story roofline in the rear of the structures. Fire attack was initiated at the rear of the structure while responding aerial ladders were set up on the front side to protect exposures. Deep-seated Fire was evident in both affected structures and a defensive attack was initiated.

Heavy Fire Damage was sustained by the involved structures.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded 5 Pumpers as well as 2 aerial ladders and a Command Unit to this scene with no injuries to bystanders of responding personnel.

Fire units as of 08:00 are still on scene with the cause under investigation.
