OPP Bust Four for Drug Offences

DRYDEN – KENORA – The Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with assistance from the Kenora Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) the Kenora CSCU, and the Dryden Police Service have charged four individuals with drug-related offenses following an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the City of Dryden and Kenora.

On Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 7:37 am, police conducted a traffic stop on Highway 17A near Highway 658 where four individuals were taken into custody.

Police located 155.82 grams of Methamphetamine, 11.91 grams of cocaine, 22 fentanyl pills, $1715 in cash and other items associated with the drug trafficking trade. The street value of the drugs is estimated to be over $50,000.

As a result of this investigation, the following have been charged:

Bradley OUELLETTE, age 47 from Dryden

  •  Sec. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Methamphetamine
  • Sec 5(2) of the CDSA, Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Fentanyl
  • Sec 4(1) of the CDSA, Possession of Schedule I Substance-Cocaine
  • Sec 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Sec 129(a) CC Resist Peace Officer

Samantha CHIKANE, age 29 from Sioux Lookout

  •  Sec. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Methamphetamine
  • Sec 5(2) of the CDSA, Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Fentanyl
  • Sec 4(1) of the CDSA, Possession of Schedule I Substance-Cocaine
  • Sec 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Sec 145(5.1) CC Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge

Bradley JAGER, age 39 from Dryden

Katie METHOT, age 31 from Thunder Bay

  • Sec 5(2) of the CDSA, Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Fentanyl
  • Sec 4(1) of the CDSA, Possession of Schedule I Substance-Cocaine
  • Sec 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

OUELETTE appeared in bail court on Friday, November 8, 2019. The other accused are to appear in the Kenora Court on December 12, 2019 to answer to the charges.
