Thunder Bay Police Investigate Assault at Midtown Inn

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to the Midtown Inn on Cumberland Street North at around 3:40 am on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, following reports of a possible assault in progress.

On arriving, police learned that several individuals had forcefully entered a room in the Midtown Inn and assaulted two occupants. Weapons were involved in this assault.

Both victims were transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further treatment. The nature of the victims’ injuries is not known at this time, but are not life-threatening.

Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit are now investigating the circumstances surrounding this assault.
