THUNDER BAY, ON — The Sportop Midget AA Queens have won their 5th consecutive Confederation College Thunderhawks Invitational Tournament Championship.
After going 4-0 in round-robin action, outscoring opponents 22-1, the Queens defeated the Manitoba Northstars in the semifinals by a score of 5-2 and went on to defeat the LU Thunderwolves 3-1 in the Championship game. Brenna Nicol had a 5-point Sunday, including assists on both of Saige MacLeod’s game-winning goals.
