WINNIPEG – The three-year-old who was stabbed in Winnipeg allegedly by the former boyfriend of his mother will be taken off life support. Hunter Straight-Smith was sleeping in his home when he was reportedly stabbed multiple times by his assailant who has been arrested and is in custody in Winnipeg.
According to his aunt, Roxanne Moar, “Hunter went for an MRI and he has severe brain damage. He’s not gonna make it.”
Grand Chief Arlen Dumas and the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs send their support to the family of 3-year old Hunter Straight-Smith.
“My heart goes out to the family as they come to grips with this terrible loss,” said Grand Chief Arlen Dumas. “On behalf of the Assembly I send my deepest condolences. You are in our thoughts and our prayers.”
