Robbery Shuts Doors at Calico Coffee House in Bay and Algoma District

THUNDER BAY – CRIME – The impact of crime, when viewed just on statistics, does not tell the whole story.

In Thunder Bay, many people, seeing the crime rates are expressing concern over the growing numbers of crimes. Bringing those crime stories forward on social media appears to be a path growing numbers of local residents and business owners are doing.

The Calico Coffee House is sad to report: “We will be closed until further notice. We were victims of a break-in and robbery last night and thieves made off with our cash register! So at the moment, we are unable to process any transactions.

“We will let you know as soon as we are up and running. The robbery took place between 10 pm and midnight last night (Saturday Night) so if anyone happened to see anything suspicious please let the police know. Thanks so much!”

The popular coffee shop will re-open and will advise patrons on their Facebook Page.
