Thunder Bay Police Charge 37-Year-Old with Possession of Child Pornography

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police have laid child pornography charges against a local woman.

The Thunder Bay Police Service report that officers with the Cyber Crimes Unit began an investigation into activity involving child pornography on October 1, 2019.

That investigation revealed that files – videos and images — consistent with child pornography had been uploaded from a local Internet user on September 17, 2019.

As a result of their ongoing investigation, police were able to obtain and execute a search warrant of a home in the 100-block of Jean Street.

Devices were seized and an accused individual was arrested as a result of this search.

Yeraldy ALEMAN CORTEZ, 37, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Possession of Child Pornography.

The accused appeared in court Saturday and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
