THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police Service officers encountered another potentially very dangerous scene in Westfort on Friday.
Officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Frederica Street in the late evening hours of Friday, September 20, 2019 following reports of unwanted persons in an apartment unit.
When police arrived they learned that none of the people inside the apartment were tenants and that the actual tenant was not present.
Eleven people were found in the apartment and those individuals were subsequently removed from the apartment.
While speaking with two males who identified themselves as being from the Greater Toronto Area, officers noticed paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking and a quantity of a substance believed to be cocaine. Police also located and seized more than $1,400 CAD.
Police then found a loaded handgun with a bullet in the chamber in the possession of one of the males.
