THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Rain in the forecast has Environment Canada has issued weather statements across many parts of Northwestern Ontario.
Special weather statement in effect for:
- Dryden – Vermilion Bay
- Ignace – English River
- Pickle Lake – Cat Lake
- Summer Beaver – Wunnummin Lake – Kingfisher Lake
- Fort Frances – Emo – Rainy River
- Seine River Village – Mine Centre
Showers and thunderstorms will continue to soak the region today
with total rainfall amounts of 15 to 30 mm likely in many areas. A few locally higher rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm are also expected due to the thunderstorms.
Poor driving conditions from low visibility in downpours are expected tonight.
