THUNDER BAY – The downtown southside of Thunder Bay, the Fort William Busines Improvement Area is working hard to bring the neighbourhood back. There are a lot of efforts underway to achieve that.
Earlier in September, one of the first steps, a small step happened – Southside Vibe 2019. The event was a tailgate party with vendors offering a wide range of wares. There was amazing pizza served up by ‘We Knead Pizza’ from their food truck. There were fantastic music and comedy from the stage.
Downtown Fort William has been working over the years to overcome some of the negative impressions in the neighbourhood that a local licensed establishment was having on the area.
Many of the business owners in the area are now starting to see changes coming, ever since that change happened.
There is a ways to go, but the work has started and there are a lot of people working to help make a real difference.
