THUNDER BAY – POLITICS – On Friday, NDP candidate Anna Betty Achneepineskum (Thunder Bay-Superior North) hosted the grand opening of her campaign office where dozens of volunteers and supporters gathered for the kick-off.
“I am proud to be the NDP candidate for Thunder Bay-Superior North to be a strong voice for you in Ottawa,’’ said Anna Betty. “The NDP has a strong track record of working and standing up for Northern Ontario. I plan to work hard to make life more affordable for northerners.’’
Achneepineskum adds, “Trudeau’s Liberals have failed to stand up for northerners. People are not getting the health services they need, they can’t find a safe and affordable place to call home and those suffering from addiction can’t find the help they need. The NDP proposes a New Deal for People to tackle these challenges and make life better for people in the North.”
“I have been visiting many communities in the riding and I heard what people are saying,’’ added Anna Betty. “People in Thunder Bay and across Northern Ontario need someone on their side to make life more affordable, to tackle the housing crisis and to deliver on mental health services. The NDP is on your side.’’
The campaign office is located at 875 Tungsten Street.
