Geraldton OPP Seek Suspects in Main Street Assault

GERALDTON, ON – A Geraldton resident was assaulted on September 3, 201,9 at 9:18 pm by three individuals who used a metal object in their attack.

The Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Superior North Emergency Medical Service (SNEMS) responded to the report of an assault which happened in the 500 block of Main Street in Geraldton.

OPP report that the victim was approached by three individuals who then assaulted the individual with a metal object. The suspects then fled the area on foot. The victim was transported by ambulance to Geraldton District Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Greenstone OPP along with the assistance of the OPP North West Region Crime Unit and the Greenstone Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) continue to investigate this occurrence.

The suspects are described as:

– Male

– Approximately 20 years old

– Wearing all black clothing with hoods on

– One suspect was possibly carrying a flashlight and a crowbar.
