MONTREAL – BUSINESS – On August 27, 2019, the Board of Directors of Bombardier Transportation Italy appointed Franco Beretta as President and Managing Director Italy, effective September 1, 2019. Mr Beretta will hold this position in addition to his existing role as Region Leader, Mediterranean.
Mr Beretta joined the company in 1990 and since then has held various roles in project management and sales. From 2005 he spent six years in the industry with Trenitalia and Casram before returning to Bombardier in 2011 as Project Director for the ETR1000-V300ZEFIRO project. In July 2019 Mr Beretta was appointed as Region Leader, Mediterranean, at Bombardier Transportation, with full responsibility for sales and project delivery in Italy and Iberia.
