Kenora OPP Arrest Man in Assault Incident

KENORA – The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, the Northwest Region Crime Unit, the Northwest Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Northwest Canine Unit responded to a report of an assault on the north side of Kenora.

On Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at approximately 7:00 pm CDT, police received information regarding a male that had been assaulted with a weapon. The male victim of the assault was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Upon further investigation, police learned there were two male suspects responsible for the assault.

On August 22, 2019, 30-year-old, Chris FLETT from Winnipeg Manitoba has been charged with Fail to Comply with Probation Order and Aggravated Assault. He appeared in Kenora Court on Friday, August 23, 2019.

The investigation for the second suspect is continuing at this time.
