THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Police are looking for a robbery suspect in a recent robbery of the Circle K store on Red River Road.
The Thunder Bay Police Service is requesting public assistance to help identify a suspect involved in a recent convenience store robbery.
Officers were dispatched to the Circle K convenience store at 915 Red River Road at about 10:45 pm EDT on Sunday, August 4th, 2019 following reports of a robbery that had just occurred.
Police learned a male suspect entered the store armed with what appeared to be a long wooden handled ice scraper or garden edger. The accused approached the counter as the clerk was serving a customer and threatened the employee.
The customer and clerk then fled the store. Moments later the accused also fled.
The accused is described as standing between 5’8” and 5’10” tall. He wore black pants with a white stripe down the sides of the legs, a grey hooded sweater, a black jacket, black boots, and an orange piece of clothing covering his face.
As a result of the continued investigation, police have obtained surveillance footage that shows the accused male. That video is being released to the public in an effort to help identify the suspect.
