Winnipeg Police Seize Almost $800k in Illegal Drugs

WINNIPEG – Police in Winnipeg have seized illegal drugs worth almost $800,000. The seizure happened as a result of a raid on a residence in St. Boniface on July 12th.

The Winnipeg Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit executed Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA) search warrant at a home on Guay Ave.

Investigators seized:
– 2.8kg of Cocaine (SV $280,000.00)
– 266g of Heroin (SV $79,800.00)
– 5.3kg of Methamphetamine (SV $530,000.00)
as well as cutting agent and packaging materials

Winnipeg Police say that “The amount of methamphetamine had the potential to impact over 50,000 residents of Winnipeg and sadly, is ruining many lives within our community”.

No arrests have been made at this time.
