THUNDER BAY – Update:  The issue with HSPA call processing has been resolved and all services have been restored. Technicians will continue to actively monitor the Network.

Earlier: Tbaytel is one of the mobility service providers who are experiencing service issues.

Tbaytel advises, “Please be advised mobility providers across Ontario, including Tbaytel, are experiencing an issue with HSPA Mobility Call Processing.  This issue can result in calls not being placed or calls being dropped between another cellphone or landline.  Technicians are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”

In many areas, including Thunder Bay, this is impacting 911 service. Tbaytel is currently experiencing problems with the cell phone system and its causing difficulties with the 911 system dropping calls.

If you experience difficulties calling 911 with cell phone please use a landline to call 911.
