THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a recent convenience store robbery.
Officers were dispatched to the Circle K convenience store located at 346 May Street North just before 3 pm on Thursday, June 27 for a reported robbery that had just occurred.
Police learned a woman had entered the store armed with a syringe, approached the clerk from behind the counter as part of her robbery attempt. She was unsuccessful, fled the store and was last observed heading southbound on foot on May Street. Police are now releasing an image from surveillance footage that shows the accused woman.
The accused is described as an Indigenous woman in her 30s with a medium build. She wore a black undershirt, gray leggings and sandals. She held a white, black and blue checkered flannel shirt over her head at the time of the robbery.
