Solid pitching kept the Border Cats in the game early as they took a 7-2 lead

The Thunder Bay Border Cats shut out the Waterloo Bucks 4-0 Friday night. The Cats finished strong to take the win with three runs in the top of the ninth inning to scratch out the win on the road, following up on a strong win Thursday night at home.

The Cat’s bats are coming alive too as Nate Soriano (Houston Baptist University) hit a double and one RBI.

The winning pitcher was Austin Breazeale (Gateway CC (AZ)) pitching a solid six inning with no runs and four hits. Waterloo’s losing pitcher was Jack Parkinson (Rutgers).
